There was great excitement when one of our local farmers brought his tractor to school! The children were so excited when they were allowed to climb aboard and sit in the cab. Reception children had been looking at the story of The Little Red Hen – they enjoyed seeing the grains of wheat, oilseed rape and barley. Year 1 children used this experience to help with their topic of “inventions – looking at how the tractor was designed and why it had such big wheels.
