Key Stage 2 children enjoyed an RE day when they learnt about the origins of Mothering Sunday and Easter traditions. They prepared for the school Mothering Monday Service by writing poems, producing art work and comparing the growing of marigolds with the way their mothers look after them. In the afternoon, Years 5 and 6 decorated their own simnel cakes and made Easter baskets. The mini eggs that they were given for their baskets were well received, along with the sampling of the hot cross buns!
